Overview

Kainuu, the resort area, abounds with leisure and sports facilities, including squash, tennis and volleyball courts, fishing, golf, bowling, spa facilities, snowmobiling and, for the courageous, ski jumps. The many lakes glistening across the breathtaking landscape are rich in walking trails. The resort is just a short distance from the ski slopes. In addition to the usual ski runs, snowboard tubes add another dimension to a winter break here - being less than a kilometre from the resort.
